This Labor Day weekend I showed some restraint: ice cream was buy one get one free and I left it at the store. SCORE. But I was still wanting some chocolate, so I decided to try out a recipe instead of buying something at the grocery. So, I bought a bag of chocolate chips and hit Pinterest.
I found a recipe for 4 Ingredient Nutella Cookies on Pinterest from Kirbie’s Cravings blog. Of course, I didn’t want to use most of the Nutella container, so I tweaked the recipe a bit.
I enjoy cooking and baking and changing up the recipes a little doesn’t seem too scary and this on worked pretty well. So what did I do?
The recipe calls for a cup of Nutella but I split that up into 1/2 cup nutella and 1/2 cup peanut butter. I also had picked up a bag of chocolate chips, so I threw some in to add more chocolate (you can never have too much!).
The cookies are pretty yummy, not overly sweet and are a little crumbly (in a good way, I think). They would be amazing with some ice cream between two for a sandwich, so maybe I should have picked some up…
Nutella Peanut Butter Cookies
Adapted from Kirbie’s Cravings recipe
1/2 cup + 1 tbsp all purpose flour
1 egg
1/2 cup Nutella
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1 tsp baking powder
Splash of milk
1 handful of chocolate chips
Instructions: Preheat oven to 350 F and prep cookie sheet to being non stick (butter, Pam, etc.) // Mix all the ingredients together with a fork (make sure to stir up the Nutella in the jar first). Make sure all ingredients are mixed together thoroughly. // Place small balls of dough on the pan and bake for 10 minutes. // Let cool a few minutes on the pan before taking them off to cool the rest of the way. Enjoy with a glass of milk or even ice cream!
Let me know if you try out the recipe and what you think!
