The Friday Four is my weekly post to wrap up the week of things I’m digging, am inspired by, things I’m working on or whatever else has been on my mind during the week.
Influenster: This week I posted about my Influenster campaign for the Origins Original Skin Vox Box. I’ve enjoyed creating these reviews and sharing my thoughts on these products I received for free. I really hope that I get some more vox boxes in the future as well. I’m no beauty blogger (yet), but I sure do enjoy trying and reviewing new products.
Eating Better: Loss and I have been eating better (mostly vegetarian) for about two weeks now. The basic concept of our plan is based off of the forthcoming cookbook from Emma and Elsie of A Beautiful Mess. I’m going to post more about what we are doing with our diet this weekend, so keep out an eye for that.
Quality Time: Last weekend and the adventuring we went on helped jolt something inside my brain- the need for more quality time with Loss. Whether it’s going to stores to take photos with taxidermy animals or drinking tea in bed after a long day, those moments are what reminds me we’re ok, regardless of what’s going on. Even though things may get stressful, we have each other for support- that means so much more than you even know.
A Nightly Routine: Writing this makes me feel a little old, but it makes me happy to have a nightly routine before going to bed. Every night, I take off my make up, put on some astringent, brush my teeth and put on some moisturizer. Once I get in the bed, I put on some chapstick and slather my hands with lotion (getting ready for winter skin already!). Some nights I’ll put on a meditation on Simple Habit and fall asleep. It’s been awesome having a routine that also helps me relax a little and get into the bed time mindset.
