We don’t always do it, but I love Sundays when my whole family gets together. Today’s occasion was my Dad’s birthday and it called for a German feast (our lineage trails back to that).
So Loss and I got all dressed up in the most winter clothes we could find (it was around 37 degrees out (!!!) and we didn’t have our warm clothes out yet- we have them now!) and after grabbing a coffee at Dunkin, headed across town to church and lunch.

After church, we got a few (freezing cold) photos on the back porch to prove that we can clean up pretty well every so often- atleast I think we do. =)

We had an awesome meal made by my mom and enjoyed hanging out, setting our calendars for our upcoming holiday get-togethers and even taking a ride in my dad’s new truck.

It was awesome getting to just chill and relax with the fam and make some plans for the busy two months coming ahead. I’m excited that we already have a day of baking planned to share some holiday recipes that scream Christmas to me, too. Besides that, I’m looking forward to making new memories with my mom and reflecting on years and holidays past.

**I know it didn’t match the best, but the outfit was warm & it was so cold today it snowed. Overall, I don’t think it was too bad of a look, maybe. I think it was mainly the jacket throwing me off, but there are more options now. =)
So there you have it…. a nice, chilly and cozy day. I’m thankful to be able to have this time with my family and Loss.
