Why I Blog

I’ve had a few people reach out and ask about blogging lately. It’s mainly happened since I hit 100 days of posts and I got some comments that made me so happy and feeling pretty special. I was asked if I enjoyed blogging and I said I totally do.

That got me to thinking on why I’m writing daily I’m not doing it for money or advertising trades (clearly). I’ve always wanted to be a writer but didn’t know how to go about it. Instead of trying to become a journalist, here I am.

And twirl!

As you can tell if you’ve been around for any amount of time, I tend to write random lifestyle posts, from beauty to interior design and organizing to local events and whatever else is going on.  By posting daily, I have also made the daily habit of writing. I’m at the point I realize not ever post will be gold, but by continuing the practice, quite a bit is being produced and it feels wonderful.

I also love that this blog has become a scrapbook of my life. I can look back on posts and see what I was into and which events have happened in my life since I’ve been writing. If nothing else, it’s a reason to make sure I take more photos in my day to day life. For that, I’m thankful and loving it.

So that’s why I write: I enjoy it, I’m keeping a scrapbook of my life and it’s helping me to become even more in tune and practiced with my writing. As far as readership goes, I say thank you for helping me stay active on the blog and making JLB Nerdy a thing. You guys rock!
