The holidays are here and the onslaught of delicious goodies and unflattering photos have started. I’ve also been doing the hibernating thing a lot more and as I’m finishing up the 6th season of Gilmore Girls, I’ve had that realization that I need to do some more moving.
I’ve been feeling kinda bleh lately and have been less than energetic this week at work, so it’s time. I’m also hopeful that this endeavor will be one that will help across the board. I love the feeling that I got from completing my 31 Days of Self Care project earlier this year, so it’s time to start up another one.
Since the month of December is about to start up, I think it’s a good time to start a challenge. I’m challenging myself to a 31 Days of Moving Challenge. I really like the idea of walking atleast a mile each day, so that’s what I’m going to start with. I might end the challenge with a big event- more on that later! On top of moving, I’ve found that if I work out, I tend to eat better as well, so this should be a great motivator for eating better this holiday season as well.
I’m also trying a 30 day challenge to get stronger with crunches, planks, squats and push ups. I can either do it after my walk/jog or do it later on in the day in the apartment, too. I love the fact I can accomplish things in our small space and not have to always haul it to the gym.
I’m planning on posting a weekly updates and am keeping a log that I’ll be sharing as well- it’ll keep me honest. So here we go…wish me luck!
